We gladly accept your old ICT equipment (but NO! printers)

Reboot Cambridge CIC relies heavily on donations of Equipment and Components to enable us to keep our costs down for Training and Support Services as well as the refurbishment of donated equipment for resale.

Operating under the European WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Directive of 2007, we will only take what we can use and work to a strict ZERO landfill policy.

We are currently able to accept donations of the following:

  • Personal Computers (Pentium 4 / AMD 64 and later)
  • Laptops and Netbooks
  • Keyboards
  • Mice
  • External Hard Drives
  • Memory Modules
  • Processors (P4 or AMD64 Minimum Specification)
  • Network Adapters
  • Networking Equipment
  • Flat Screen TFT/ LCD Monitors
  • DVD Players (Functional)

We are a small organisation, with part-time staff, so occasionally we are unable to accept donations, for example, when runnning training courses. Before making a journey to us, PLEASE phone us on (01954) 253302 to check that we can receive you. We wouldn't want you to have a wasted jopurney.

Our opening hours for donations are:

  • Tuesdays 10am to 3pm
  • Wednesdays 10am to 3pm
  • Thursdays 10-am to 3pm
  • Fridays 10am to 2pm

We are currently unable to accept the following:

  • Old style CRT Monitors
  • Printers
  • Standalone scanners

Hard Drives

All personal data from donated machines is securely erased to industry standards and we will provide emailed verification once this has been carried out upon request. We will happily back up data if you are donating equipment and then purchasing an upgrade through us.
