Reboot IT

Train to repair

We are pleased to announce that we will be able to offer our new project – Reboot IT – for 2017.

What is on offer?

The Reboot IT project is a 6 week program. Participants complete 10 core modules in basic IT hardware, refurbishment and applications use, after which they may then select from our available optional modules to complement their interests and needs. In addition to this we then provide work experience to put the skills gained into practice, therefore minimizing the amount of ‘simulated’ learning opportunities.

What is New?

Taking what we have learned from our previous provision we have redesigned the project with the learner in mind, so that after the initial core modules, the learner guides the design of their own program of learning with optional modules to complement their needs and development.

We have secured funding based on outcomes and because of this, we are including IT focused Employability Modules within the core modules and learners will be provided with guidance on securing employment within an IT based field and provided with resources and time to complete jobsearch activities whilst with us.
